On July 12, the Launch Ceremony of 2008 Global Entrepreneurship Week China is hosted by Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation for Graduates (EFG) in Hotel Kunlun, Beijing , which unveils this exciting initiative with the theme of Unleashing Ideas, Enlightening China.

Government leaders at both national and regional levels attend the launch ceremony. Yan Junqi, Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress, and Chair of Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation for Graduates (EFG); Shang Yong, Vice Minister of Science and Technology; He Junke, Secretary of the Central Committee of Chinese Communist Youth League; Liu Xincheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the NPC, and Vice Chair of China Association for Promoting Democracy; Shen Xiaoming, Vice Mayor of Shanghai Municipality and Guo Shangyuan, Assistant to the Minister of Education. Over 100 people, including distinguished employers, young entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial scholars & mentors, and the broader community, attend as well.

The dream of young people is actually the dream of our nation. To help graduates fly their entrepreneurial dreams has become the greatest concern of Chinese government. It is far-sighted for our government and the whole society to encourage youngsters' innovation, imagination and creativity and help improve local and global entrepreneurship.

It is bound to build the stronger entrepreneurial culture, help young people to explore their creative ideas and tap their entrepreneurial potential. It is bound to be both a global stage to display China 's entrepreneurial practices and entrepreneurial culture, and a fresh start to integrate those practices and culture with the global trend.
