On the afternoon of July 20th, 2008, a group led by Liu Yandong, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a State Councilor; Yu Zhengsheng, also a Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPC; Wan Gang, Vice Chair of the CPPCC and Minister of Science and Technology; Zhou Ji, Minister of Education; and Han Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai Municipality visits Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) in Yangpu District and later listens to the work report from Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation for Graduates (EFG).
Zhang Dewang, Secretary-General of EFG, presents the basic situation of the Foundation, like against what backdrop it was started, how it evolves ever since, how the project funding and soft environment work on the one hand, while highlighting what EFG has been done and is doing as the host of the 2008 Global Entrepreneurship Week China on the other hand. Chen Daming, a graduate entrepreneur sponsored by the Foundation, reports his experience of entrepreneurship, and expresses that despite of twists and turns along the road of entrepreneurship, he has gained experience and sensed his maturity. Finally, he wishes more graduates who are dedicated to this cause can start their own businesses.
Liu Yandong advocates entrepreneurship and points out that it is towards the mainstream to push ahead graduate entrepreneurship which makes real sense. It will not only help the graduates realize their dreams, thus facilitating the social and economic advance, but is also a way to explore new channel for
graduates' employment. To wrap up, Ms. Liu and other leaders wish much brighter future for the graduate entrepreneurship. |
